Oscar-winning 12 Years a Slave actress and now Star Wars cast-member Lupita Nyong’o is set to produce and play the lead in the adaptation of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s novel Americanah.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, rights to the book were picked up by Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B, who were also responsible for bringing 12 Years to the big screen.
Americanah tells of young Nigerians who find love across continents.
Adichie’s novel Half of a Yellow Sun also arrived in cinemas earlier this year.
